Hunker Down

About three years ago, during Hurrican Rita, we had no power and we were huddled in our living room listening to the radio. The only thing anyone could think of saying was, "Hunker down!" Well, we're getting ready for the arrival of Hurricane Ike. And I can honestly say, "I don't like Ike." So it seems that we will need to be ready to "Hunker down" for tonight and tomorrow. I hope and pray that all our family and friends our safe. I pray that God will be with everyone who is affected by this storm. We know that He is the only one who can speak to the winds and the waves and they will obey.

Breton Fisherman's Prayer:

"Dear God, be good to me,
the sea is so wide,
and my boat is so small."

Hunker down everyone, and be safe.

I am so glad you and your family are safe after the arrival of Ike, but I do wish your power was on.

Ike was pretty bad. I know I was singing "I Know the Master of the Wind" several times Sat. p.m. when the winds got so bad. Thankfully, we only lost limbs and no other damage.

Hope your electricity in on soon.

Your loving Mother
